Rajasthan High Court directs State Govt to check Mobile Tower Radiation

4 June 2012 A writ petition in the Rajasthan HC has left the Gehlot government in the state dialing the Centre for help. Acting on a complaint against alleged deadly radiation emanating from cellular towers, the Rajasthan HC has directed the state government to conduct spot emission checks and ensure that cellular tower operators adhere to prescribed emission norms. The direction came after the High Court rejected the radiation emission report prepared by the Department of Telecom, in the capital.
